The role;

We  have an opportunity available for a highly organised and dedicated Lawyer/Associate in our commercial litigation & insolvency team in Melbourne. Conduct a portfolio of commercial litigation and insolvency files while providing assistance and support senior lawyers.

  • Liaising with clients, debtors, third parties, all courts, barristers and witnesses
  • Attending client meetings
  • Bring and defend legal proceedings and run matters to arbitration / hearing in all jurisdictions
  • Drafting advices to clients, court documents, briefs to counsel, letters and other correspondence
  • Managing files
  • Assisting senior lawyers with preparations of briefs, discovery and other tasks as required
  • Assisting with management of law clerks

About you;

  • Holder of a current practicing certificate
  • 2-5 years post-admission experience
  • Litigation experience
  • Exposure to insolvency matters is highly valued
